Broken Spokes Mfg. & Field Service

In February of 2002 I finally got brave and decided to branch out into a 24 hour field service. It took alot of time just getting the thing set up and doing all the paper work. My truck is rigged with a Lincoln Commander 500 welder. Its got enough power to run my plasma as weld as run the wire feed welder. This way I can build on site or do repairs. It sure has come in handy on the straw house project. As well miscellaneous repairs for my Dad at the feed store and building pens for the kids 4-H and FFA livestock. The guy at the dealership thought I was nuts when I told him I wanted a RED 1 ton Dodge with 4 wheel drive. He said he knew where there were some white or silver ones. I said "Nope. Its gotta be red." Thats when he asked what I was gonna be doing with it. I'm still not sure he believed me when I said I was gonna turn it into a welding truck. He then said "Why red? All the other welding trucks are white around here." I said "Exactly. I want them to remember the red truck. Even if they can't remember the name."

This one was taken in Artesia in front of the Petroleum Building. Right next door to the Artesia Heritage Walkway. In fact it was taken the morning the front fence was installed.
