Company Bread Pudding

1 large loaf raisin bread (sliced)
1 stick butter, 4 apples, 1 cup walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 quart milk
3 eggs, nutmeg & cinnamon


Butter each slice of raisin bread, slice into cubes,
sprinkle with spices  and brown sugar, spread evenly in
large baking dish, add walnuts. Peel & cut up apples, add
to bread mixture. Beat eggs in large bowl, add milk, pour
into bread mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until
golden brown and puffed up. Good warm with whipped cream.
Serves 6-8
