Green Chili BBQ Sauce

1 quart tomato sauce

1 cup vinegar

1 pound brown sugar

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1 teaspoon chili powder

2 teaspoons paprika

1 16oz. frozen tub of chopped green chilis thawed

2 tablespoons mesquite smoke

2 13 oz. bottles ketchup

3 teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon allspice

1 teaspoon mace

1 tablespoon crushed garlic

2 tablespoons worchestershire.

Mix all the ingredients and simmer 4 to 6 hours over low heat stirring ocasionally. Makes about a gallon. You can use either hot, medium or mild green chilis depending on your taste buds. Mild seems to work with best with my Mesquite brisket Rub as it uses jalapeno salt.
