Polish Sausage-Krauters

8      Polish sausages
1     (8 oz) can sauerkraut, drained &
       snipped short
1/4c.  your favorite chili sauce
2 T.   finely chopped onion
1 tsp. caraway seed

Slit sausages lengthwise, cutting almost to the end and 3/4's of the way through.  Combine sauerkraut, chili sauce, onion and caraway seed. Stuff about 2 tablespoons of mixture into each sausage; secure with toothpicks.  Grill over hot coals for 10 to 12 minutes, turning frequently. Lay hot dog buns open side down on grill for about 15 seconds. Remove picks and serve on warm toasted buns. Or if desired, serve without the buns as a great Autumn main dish.
