Who'd a Thought

Right after their 8th grade gradiation, Shorty and Enos decided they were  going campin for the very first time all by themselves.

 They threw all the gear in the back of Shorty's pickup and headed down to the Piggly Wiggly to get the rest of their supplies. 

Shorty told Enos to run and get what they'd need to get by with for a weeks worth of campin.  Enos says "Hell, Shorty.... I don't know what to get."

Shorty scratches his head and says, "Well  ask one of them gals in there. I'm sure they get asked that all the time."

Enos thought, Thats a good idea. So he heads into the store. 

After what seems quite a while Enos returns carrying this little bag. Grinnin from ear to ear. He then tells Shorty about  his conversation with gal in the store. 

"I told her this was our first camping trip alone. Didn't know what all we'd need. She was real helpful. Asked what we'd be doin on this trip. I told her, maybe a little hiking, and then some swimming. Then she smiled and asked if there was just the two of us? I told her Yep, just me and you Shorty.

She took me down this row of shelves and handed these here 2 boxes. Said this'll get us a whole week."

Shorty says let me see that, and yanks a box out of Enos's hand. Read the back. "Well I'll be damned.....Tampons. All you need for camping, hiking, swimming........ Who'd ever thought."
